Thank you for your interest in applying for the Maricel Manfredi Award, named in honor of the achievements of nurse scientist and leader Dr. Maricel Manfredi. The Manfredi prize is traditionally awarded during the Colloquium for an outstanding article that is innovative, rigorous, oriented to health problems relevant to the Americas, makes a contribution to the field, and presents recommendations that can be applied to nursing practice and/or public policy. The winner will receive $2,000 and the opportunity to publish in Hispanic Health Care International, the official journal of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses.
To submit your entry for the Maricel Manfredi Award, send your complete manuscript to Maria Padron at firstname.lastname@example.org. Any nursing research article that is not yet published will be considered for the award. Submissions may be in English, Spanish or Portuguese and must be in accordance with The Maricel Manfredi Award Criteria and formatted according to the submission guidelines of the journal Hispanic Health Care International, available here.
Manuscripts that do not adhere to The Maricel Manfredi Award Submission Criteria and the Hispanic Health Care International Manuscript Submission Guidelines (above), will not be reviewed or considered for the prize.
Submissions must be received by August 1, 2012.
